This intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the corporate sustainability world with research projects on the most pressing environmental and social issues, and resume boosting experience within a Fortune 500 company.

What will you do?

The intern will be positioned in the small research team at the Sustainability Research Institute (SRI) of Schneider Electric. The SRI creates sustainability thought-leadership from an international business perspective. The intern’s research project’s subject will be water stress, i.e., issues of both availability and affordability, with a focus on the role that infrastructure plays. The project’s envisioned outcome is publish-worthy research paper, which complements the many existing research papers that tend to be policy-orientated, with an orientation towards business solutions. The paper will be written up for publication together with the intern’s manager.

Tasks:

• Desktop research
• Drafting paper, including references

Topic of water stress and infrastructure’s role may be further finetuned according to the intern’s interests, as there are still many aspects within this large subject

This job might be for you if you are:

• A graduate in Sustainability, Water Management, Urban Planning, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
