Schneider Electric is Hiring a Sustainability Intern/Co-Op Near Boston, MA

Schneider Electric has a meaningful opportunity for a Sustainability Intern or Co-Op to work for our company preferably based in Boston, MA. This is open to either a Summer or Fall 2024 start date. In this opportunity, you will sit within the Decarbonization Office for Digital Energy, with high visibility across multiple business divisions, where you will interact with commercial teams and partners globally to accelerate decarbonization efforts for our customers. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in the deployment of sales enablement programs, supporting critical topics related to Building Decarbonization or Sustainability efforts.

What will you do?

The Decarbonization Office for Digital Energy collaborates on topics relating to sustainability across all divisions of Energy Management to support our customers and sales teams. This position will be exposed to various facets of commercial enablement program development and execution

  • Support ongoing upskilling efforts through direct engagement with internal and partner sales professionals
  • Conduct trainings and support sales teams and partners in the deployment of a new sales enablement tool developed by the Decarbonization Office
  • Support building decarbonization training content development including powerpoint presentations, scripts, and compilation of relevant offer content
  • Collaborate with other Digital Energy training teams to enhance offer-level trainings to incorporate decarbonization benefits
  • Align with other training groups to incorporate Building Decarbonization training series into Sustainability Academy and Commercial Academy
  • This person will be a participant in accelerating Schneider Electric’s global building decarbonization efforts backed by science-based research.

Who will you report to?

  • This position will work directly with our Decarbonization Strategy and Commercial Leader

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Pursing a degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in another area with professional experience in the relevant topics. (Master's students preferred)
  • Strong written, oral, and communication skills.
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint, Excel and Teams skills.
  • Driven self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
  • A self-organized fast learner who exhibits strong acumen for training others with patience and compassion.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to communicate from a position of deep expertise with both expert and non-expert audiences. An international, multicultural mindset and approach is required.
  • Experience or formal training in sustainability, engineering, or the built environment is preferred. A passion about climate change, GHG emissions, or related topics is a must.
  • Local to one of our Hub locations
