Schervier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is Hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Near Bronx, NY

Looking for a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx, NY. We are offering competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefit package.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provides skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  2. Follows all regulations and guidelines of facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.
  3. Adheres to discussed scheduled hours and conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
  4. Provides documentation of patient’s condition, and provide caregiver/patient education as appropriate.
  5. Regularly discusses with supervising Occupational Therapist patient’s progress and any concerns or guidance needed.
  6. Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patients engagement and responses to treatment, modifies as necessary.

Requirements include:

  1. Valid NY professional license
  2. Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  3. Preferred experience with rehab optima and skilled nursing facilities
  4. New graduates are welcome

Rates Minimum $15/hour and Maximum $65/hour
