Status: Regular, full-time, exempt

Salary: $75,000 (License-eligible with ASW, IMFT or APCC) 

$100,000 (Licensed LCSW, LMFT or LPCC)

Location: Ken Lee

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Must be available to work one to two evenings per week, up to 8 p.m., as needed.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Support Manager shall be responsible for ensuring the quality of client care by supporting the use of a trauma informed approach by staff, students and volunteers which aligns with the agency’s mission and philosophy. The Clinical Support Manager is responsible for providing weekly and/or bimonthly reflective supervision to direct service staff, and designated teams which supports the facilitation, development and implementation of team goals and objectives. The Clinical Support Manager also serves as a link to the other teams and to the Clinical Director. The Clinical Support Manager offers consultation and support to staff and students regarding crisis and the direct practice with clients. He/she/they are responsible for staff development and evaluation in conjunction with the Clinical Director and other supervisors. The Clinical Support Manager will assist with the development and facilitation of agency training. The Clinical Support Manager performs roles and duties of a supervisor for the team.

DUTIES:

  • Supports and assists staff with professional and clinical development, planning, and intervention/implementation of agency/client goals.
  • Conducts group reflective supervision of designated teams.
  • Oversight of General Counseling Program including assigning referrals, monitoring documentation and training of students.
  • Oversees individual, group and family counseling, wraparound and other services as they relate to a program & team goals and objectives. These include the goals & objectives from the assessment, and treatment/service plan as agreed upon with the client for assigned student interns.
  • Assists with the scheduling, development, planning and facilitation of agency annual and new hire core trainings for staff, students and program teams.
  • Participates in the interviewing process & acceptance and onboarding of students from various Universities. 
  • Coordinates and collaborates with SBCS Program Directors, Program Coordinators and team members.
  • Attends & actively participates in team meetings, department meetings, agency meetings & other committee meetings as assigned.
  • Provide emergency clinical consultation and support after hours as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related with current BBS registration as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or ASW, APCC or IMFT, OR completion of BBS hours/near licensure, required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in child, youth & family services and/or community development field. Experience preferred in community-based organizations. 
  • Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis treatment; experience working in trauma-informed and dual diagnosis programs.
  • Experience in community-based organizations, preferred. 
  • Must remain flexible and easily adapt and respond to crisis situations.
  • Proven experience, comfort, and confidence in conducting agency training sessions to agency staff, preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a clear and focused outlook under pressure.
  • Detailed-oriented and focused.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and develop new skills.
  • Affinity for problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work with a diverse cultural population, possess cultural sensitivity, and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.

Conditions of Employment

  • Employment may be conditioned upon satisfactory completion of certain background clearances which may include a Department of Justice criminal background check requiring my fingerprints (Live Scan), screening through the National Sex Offender Public Website, drug test, tuberculosis (TB) test, and such additional clearances as may be required under the program. 
  • Candidate is required to have reliable transportation; therefore, the candidate must successfully complete a motor history check. Candidate must also possess and maintain a current valid California driver’s license and valid auto insurance policy.

Physical demands

  • Mentally and emotionally: Ability to work under deadlines, various projects and dealing with clients in crisis and difficult situations.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift. 
  • Moves throughout the building. 
  • Moves, raises, or lowers (includes upward pulling) an object or equipment up to 50 lbs. 
  • Transports an object, from 20 to 50 lbs. across the facility, for various needs.
  • Ability to exert force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force. 
  • Ability to exert force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking) 
  • Ascending or descending stairs and ladders when applicable. Body agility is emphasized. 
  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when ascending, descending, traversing.
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. 
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with objects or office machinery. 
  • Communicating: Expressing or exchanging ideas. Communicating is important for those activities in which workers must impart information to clients or to the public, and in those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately, or quickly.
