AUDIT ASSOCIATE

Summary of Responsibilities:

Given a wide variety of accounting assignments under the supervision of audit professionals. Performance is judged based on the quality of work, the ability to learn and apply accounting concepts, and the ability to meet time constraints. This position provides impactful work that is critical to the success of our firm.

Essential Functions:

• Reconciles client records
• Calculates basic accounting functions
• Performs other basic accounting, auditing, tax duties as needed
• May work on various phases of an engagement, including reporting, as assigned by Supervisory Personnel
• May be trained to work with financial statements using the firm’s software programs
• Effectively communicates with Staff client to produce information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption to client.
• Attends and participates in professional education including in-house industry group meetings and participates in professionally sponsored training sessions.
• Becomes familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures. 

Education, Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration with good grades in accounting courses
• Proficiency with Word, Excel
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.
