SB is Hiring a Sr. Relationship Banking Specialist Near Appleton, WI

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Senior Relationship Banking Specialist collaborates with the RB Department Manager to direct daily work and provide coaching, development, and support to the retail team. The Sr Banking Specialist models superior service while confidently engaging members using various communication channels to take ownership of the member experience, surpass expectations, and meet their needs. Acts as a senior team member with higher transaction and fund approval limits. This person will also sell deposit accounts and electronic banking services, maintains service delivery channels, processes various digital and in-person account transactions, and facilitates consumer loans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Functions as Manager on duty in the absence of RB Department Manager, assists retail team members in need of approvals beyond their limits, manages escalations through chain of command, and handles scheduling conflicts.
  • Assists in development of team members by providing training and mentoring as directed by RB Department manager.
  • Employs subject-matter-expertise to:
    • provide hands-on support to retail team members navigating complex issues or decision-making, seeking resources, or reinforcement of policies and procedures.
    • provide seamless problem resolution for member technical and service issues, gathering necessary information and providing timely member updates through completion.
    • assist with maintenance of deposit document preparation (BPM) platform.
  • Serves as digital banking expert:
    • establishes user access to various digital banking platforms.
    • sells, and promotes the usage of digital banking products and services to prospective, new, and existing business and consumer clients who virtually contact or visit the location.
    • provides expert advice and ongoing client education and navigational support following adoption of digital banking products and services.
  • Establishes and expands client relationships by promoting and selling our full range of consumer and business depository accounts and services as permitted by SbCU policy and regulation.
  • Identifies inter-departmental cross-sell opportunities and refers existing clients and prospects to the appropriate department for follow up.
  • Responds to client requests and provides required assistance which may include, but is not limited to enabling digital banking users, updating client personal information or account information/ access, facilitating foreign transactions, originating stop payments or wires, and performing research.
  • Facilitates consumer lending application, underwriting, and approvals within signing authority limits.
  • Tracks outstanding account documents and works with retail team members to resolve.
  • Answers incoming phone calls, and processes various digital and in-person account transactions.
  • Performs daily departmental tasks, account and system maintenance, and project-related assignments.
  • Serves on committees as necessary
  • Represents the bank at community functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of retail banking experience to include member service, supervisory, training, and/ or sales/ cash handling experience, and deep understanding of FI products and services.
  • Proficiency and comfort with digital and online systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of deposit and consumer loan document preparation, online account opening, and teller platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to change.
  • Proficient with MS Office products and general office equipment
  • Bondable
