What is a Warehouse Operations Manager?
Warehouse Operations Manager for our
Brick Packaging location in Traverse City, MI,
is
directly responsible
for
providing
the vision, leadership, and coaching needed to develop and
maintain
all departmental employees' competencies, performance, and collaboration
within the warehouse
,
maintenance,
and office
environment
s
. This position will
ensure the delivery of world
-
class results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
This position
has leadership responsibility of our
Traverse City
fulfillment center
.
Warehouse operations include, but are not limited to,
receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory accuracy, facility maintenance, and equipment care
.
This role is also customer-facing, requiring response
to internal and external customers in
a timely
manner
.
The leader must also e
nsure compliance and adherence to all applicable internal and regulatory requirements for Occupational Safety and Health and maintain Saxco safety standards.
- Directs all activities associated with the successful warehouse operations
at our Brick facility, a division of Saxco
. - Responsible for
managing the warehouse operations processes associated with Labor Scheduling, Receiving, putting away, Inventory Control and cycle Counting, Picking, Shipping, Assembly and Reverse Logistics.
- Supports compliance with all
appropriate policies
, procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations;
maintains
and coordinates all areas of warehouse security. - Monitors performance and productivity measures for the operation using KPI
methodology
. - Monitors the performance of staff members to ensure compliance with policies, practices
,
and approved standard operating procedures; develops and updates standard operating procedures to
facilitate
smooth warehouse operations. - Supervises warehouse staff
,
including performance management, development
,
and training
. - Ensures that warehouse material handling equipment
is
maintained
and in proper working order. - Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed,
to
meet service requirements. - Establishes and
maintains
positive working relationships with Warehouse, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service associates. - Manage all shipping and receiving records, handle questions or concerns of shipping shortages, overages or
missed picks
, and resolve with customer service. - Manage and execute all kitting and assembly projects. This includes staffing, scheduling, training, evaluating, costing, and reporting results of each project.
- Meet or exceed established goals
relative
to on-time delivery, shipping and inventory accuracy, and production schedules. - Performs related duties as assigned.
- Travel up to
15
%.
- Project leadership, implementation
,
or special projects as
assigned. - Participate in
cross-functional Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma projects
.
- Bachelor's Degree or
at minimum
5
to
8 years of management in distribution,
logistics
, business, or manufacturing environment in lieu of degree. - Must have
5
years in
Operations
leadership experience. - Must have
5
years leading others in the warehouse environment. - Must have a bias for process improvement, and change while acting as a servant leader for warehouse
associates. - Must
be proficient with MS 365
Suit

Excel, Word, WMS, ERP systems experience
required
)
– Microsoft AX Dynamics is preferred .
