Description

Position Purpose: The Patio Server helps serve in a professional, courteous manner, while doing their part to ensure that service comes out simultaneously, in a high quality and timely fashion. The Patio Server is an essential support to the Front of House team in creating unforgettable dining experiences for guests.

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Work under direction of Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Communicate daily with restaurant leadership regarding job assignments and required timeframe.
• Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Passionately deliver refined, seamless service.
• Greet and welcome guests at the bar or in the bar area.
• Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements are met for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Prepare drinks for bar guests and fulfill drink orders for Servers.
• Pour drinks, using standard pour according to specifications.
• Handle cash and credit transactions according to procedures; accurately prepare tip reporting paperwork on time.
• Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated.
• Resolve issues for guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of all bar and lounge areas, including ice bins, shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
• Maintain bar area inventory and supplies, including ice bins and beer and wine coolers; unpack deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Ability to work on your feet in for eight hours or more.
• Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 20 pounds frequently.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
• 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
