Savvy Cleaning Company is Hiring a Restaurant Cleaning Lead Near Fayetteville, NC

Restaurant Cleaning Team Lead

As a Restaurant Cleaning Team Lead for Savvy Cleaning Company, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations, building and leading a team of cleaning staff in a restaurant environment. Your primary role is to ensure that the restaurant premises are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will work closely with the management team and collaborate with other departments to achieve excellent cleaning results.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision and Training:

  • Lead and supervise a team of cleaning staff, providing guidance, support, and clear instructions.
  • Schedule and assign cleaning tasks to team members, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety protocols, and restaurant-specific cleaning procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for continuous improvement.

Cleaning Operations Management:

  • Oversee and participate in various cleaning tasks, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Ensure that all areas of the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, kitchens, and storage areas, are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate stock level and timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as kitchen staff and maintenance, to address cleaning-related issues and ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control and Inspection:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant premises to ensure cleanliness and adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Address any quality or cleanliness concerns promptly, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Implement and enforce proper waste management practices, including recycling and disposal procedures.
  • Stay up to date with health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local health department requirements.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain effective communication with the management team, providing regular updates on cleaning activities, issues, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as food service, maintenance, and management, to address cross-functional cleaning needs and maintain a cohesive working environment.
  • Address customer feedback or complaints related to cleanliness promptly and professionally.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure that all cleaning activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, following proper safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promote and maintain a clean and safe working environment for the cleaning team and restaurant staff.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate departments for timely resolution.

Interviewing & Selection

  • Coordinate and conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates, either in person or via phone or video conferencing.
  • Use behavioral and competency-based interview techniques to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit for the cleaning roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and supervisors to make informed hiring decisions based on interview feedback, assessment results, and the overall requirements of the cleaning positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in cleaning and sanitation is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, techniques, and chemicals, as well as sanitation standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning results and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the restaurant industry.

Availability

  • Full Time Position: Monday thru Saturday: 5pm/6pm-1am/2am. One Sunday AM a Month Deep Clean (will have the Saturday Prior off)
  • Pay: $15 an hour training pay: $16 an hour; upon completion of Training. Bi-weekly pay schedule
