We are searching for Controls Engineers to join our team of innovative and passionate individuals who are powered by their passion for service delivery.
Job Summary
A successful Controls Engineer will strive for excellence in client satisfaction and enjoy troubleshooting. Electrical Controls Engineers will support our clients across the business. This role is an integral part of our client-focused business model as clients are the foundation of our business. Essential Job Functions
  • Complete electrical designs and schematics to both company and customer standards
  • Develop PLC and HMI programming for automated material handling equipment
  • Prepare bill of materials and component specifications as required for automated systems or assemblies
  • Work closely with project team members and project management to provide timely updates
  • Travel to customer sites for sales support, site evaluation, design considerations, design reviews, and project support from installation through system acceptance
  • Produce required documentation for the project, schematics and drawings, operations manuals, etc.
  • Participate in special R&D assignments as requested
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Handling and helping to resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Owning or participating in Training, Quality Assurance, or new process development/implementation
  • Assisting with other Electrical Controls projects as assigned
  • Travel within respective regional coverage area may be required, depending on client needs.
  • Review client notes and communicate urgent needs and escalations to on-site Technicians, Site Leads, and Managers in a timely manner.
Qualification, Education, and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with computer software applications, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support sales, project design, and installations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortability working in a team environment
  • Experienced and proactive problem solver
  • Capable of clearly communicating and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Two or four-year college degree, technical school degree, or related degree/certification preferred
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, or Logistics setting preferred
  • Working knowledge CRM software, a plus
  • Computer networking experience, a plus
Working Conditions
This position may require frequent travel to project sites within specified area(s).
Most tasks, projects, and communication with clients, team members, and Managers will be completed using a telephone, microphone, computer, and video technology.
Long periods of speaking, sitting, standing, typing, and may be required.
PLEASE NOTE: Although this is a full-time position (40 hours per week), extended hours and evenings may be required based on client needs.
