Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Duties:

- Assist the Store Manager in daily activities and operational tasks
- Train and develop new hires on store policies and procedures
- Conduct interviews for potential new team members
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate and guide staff
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting
- Negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing and terms
- Assist in recruiting efforts to maintain adequate staffing levels

Experience:

- Previous experience in retail management is preferred
- Proficiency in training development and employee supervision
- Strong interviewing skills to assess candidate suitability
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
- Ability to oversee store operations, including stock management
- Experience in administrative tasks and record-keeping
- Proficient in negotiating with suppliers or vendors
- Knowledge of recruiting practices to attract top talent
