Ensure we have a safe operation by having the team follow procedures, use stop work authority, and model shared leadership for the team Responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change based on the need of the company Coordinates with and assists the site management team to safely and efficiently provide worry free service to customer Effectively utilize Savage Operating Systems to manage the day-to-day operations of logistics, people development, scheduling, etc. Continuously demonstrates leadership competencies and professionalism through all interactions with employees and customer Must visit customer sites to improve customer relationships Call drivers for scheduled shifts or cancelled shifts Work with the dispatch and change loads or Team member’s around as needed. Exercise STOP WORK AUTHORITY when required Follow up of shifts to account for all paper work and accuracy prior to submitting to coordinators/managers Attend monthly supervisors meetings Attend communication meetingsEducation/Experience High School Diploma or GED required College degree preferred 1 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in an industrial setting CDL Class A required, with driving experience This is a 24/7 operation, and being on-call is required Commitment to working safely at all times Ability to be exposed to the outdoor elements Must be physically able to do the following: Climb on and off trucks safely Consistently bend, stoop, kneel, squat and climb frequently Work, walk, and stand on uneven surfaces Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Operate basic hand tools Wear required PPE
