Pay range : $22.00 to $24.00 depending on experience

Here is what you will be doing :

• Daily unloading of crude oil trains.
• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
• Ability to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
• Ability to perform work safely and productively
• Ability and interested in being cross trained on all functions at facility
• Strong work ethic
• Keeps work area clean
• Is not afraid to ask questions
• Attention to detail
• Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
• Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
• Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
• Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape, upkeep, and painting)
• Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team Members and visitors
• Understands customer needs
• Ability to work a rotating shifts & set schedules (days, nights, weekends, & holidays)

Requirements of a successful Transload Operator

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write and understand, and follow written and / or verbal instructions in English
• Basic math skills
• Computer skills (light data entry)
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to get a TWIC card
• Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar / trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary; may be for up to a week at a time

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role :

• Physically able to climb up and down railcars / ladders safely
• Willing to receive general safety training
• Ability to work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing & hot temps)
• Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
• Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
• In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
