SAVAGE SERVICES is looking for a full-time mechanic to understand, implement and continually follow the Savage Maintenance program for all mobile equipment and material handling systems at the Price and Wellington operations. The ultimate goal is to maintain all equipment and systems in such a manner that everything is operating at a peak efficiency and safest level. Benefits of working with Savage: Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k)Earn $22 to $35/hr DOEA culture that appreciates our Team MembersA fleet with the majority of trucks being less than 5 years oldPaid Time Off (“PTO”) and paid holidaysBuilt in overtime every week This is what you’ll be doing: Safely perform routine services and diagnose problemsOrder and maintain inventoriesCoordinate and schedule services and appropriate record keepingChange/adjust brakes, oil filters, and wheel bearings, change/mount tires, grease CMV's, check/fill gear boxes, change springs, clutch adjustment/replacement, understand/repair air brake system and steering componentsSteam/clean trailers and repair as neededAbide by all DOT regulations and track all paperwork This is what you need to be successful: Formal education in diesel mechanics or equivalent of verified work experience2-5 years applicable experience SchoolExperience with air brake systemsKnowledge of DOT regulationsMust have own set of toolsWilling to live and/or relocate to the Price, UT areaNavigating the facility will include, but is not limited to, exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks and other high places, ground that can be slick, icy or uneven, and other industrial hazardsThe work site is an industrial setting and will require someone who can work safely around this type of environment, as well as ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulationsWilling to work nights and weekends
