Sauder Woodworking’s marketing team is looking for a communications specialist. The primary role will be writing copy for a variety of media and marketing materials not limited to social media, promotions, advertising, website, marketing programs, and corporate communications. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail with solid proofreading skills, and be self-motivated with a willingness to work in a team setting. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Writes marketing content including story copy and feature/benefit sets for new product introduction.Writes copy for social media, promotions, advertising, website, marketing programs and corporate communications.Actively researches market, product and communication trends and refreshes written content.Writes PR for trade market launches and develops media contacts to promote the company and brands.Assist with the development of story boards for video content.Assist with the development of social media influencers and content.Participates in developing names and brands.Participates in consumer research and product positioning strategy.Coordinates and facilitates flow of written content to various users.Works with other departments as requested to write or review internal and external communications.Prepares, formats and publishes documents to Sauder.com, the intranet and password protected web sites, as needed.Proofreads materials for accuracy; checks and approves printer proofs. Audits digital communications including Sauder and customer websites.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BA in English, Journalism, Communications or associated major.Minimum of 2-4 years experience.
