About the job

The IaaS Network Engineering team is looking for a Cloud Network Architect to design and build an AWS network architecture to meet the current and future needs of SAS' cloud hosting environments.

As an Cloud/AWS Network Architect, you will:

Design AWS network architectures in support of SAS' hosting business.
• Assist with automation of AWS network solutions.
• Document supported solutions for other network engineers, SAS architects and SAS pre-sales teams.
• Work across IT teams to understand network requirements for various SAS solutions.

Required qualifications:

• 8 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
• Expert level understanding of and experience with AWS network features/options (Firewall, Route53, transit gateway, application load balancer (ALB), security groups (SG), virtual private networks (VPC)).
• Understanding of non-network AWS offerings and the impact of such offerings on network design (EC2, CloudWatch, EKS, Flow Logs, WAF).
• Ability to architect an enterprise hybrid cloud network.
• Experience with automation using Terraform, Ansible and/or Python to deploy and manage AWS resources.
• General networking skills including: routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC site-to-site VPN.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with networking in Azure and/or GCP.
• Experience with interconnecting multiple cloud provider environments.
• Experience deploying or supporting DNS/DHCP services in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with wireless networking, client VPN solutions, Cisco ISE.
