Responsibilities

WORK LOCATION: This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent onsite and working remote from home.

The PMO Accounts Payable Professional - SAP, Excel, and Access role will offer you the ability to directly apply your skills to meet project team needs associated with contracting, work management, materials tracking, financial processes project execution. These tasks are critical to the successful management and execution of energy transmission and distribution projects. This work will include interfacing directly with project management, contractors, vendors, and site personnel to control/forecast costs and deliver reporting. Using a variety of industry and proprietary software tools and under the direction of project leadership, you will perform the following tasks:

  • Create Purchase Requisitions and follow-up on workflow delays and communicate next steps to project managers and leads
  • Manage vendor invoice workflow and be able to update team members on status
  • Bill work orders, leveraging various client-specific, web-based platforms
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and project managers to identify work orders available for billing
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with existing clients, ensuring consistent communication regarding outstanding receivables
  • Identify issues with remaining balances of support service agreements suggest remedies
  • Respond timely and professionally to internal and external partner inquires
  • Assist in other program management administrative functions such as permit support and material requests

Qualifications

We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Ability to manage various data types, navigate software systems and interfaces with key stakeholders primarily in MS Access and SAP.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels.
  • Motivation: Eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to make a valuable impact to project team operation. Willing to engage with others to understand project team needs. Committed to deliver high quality, accurate deliverables with attention to detail.
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge in MS Office tools, with emphasis on the use of MS Excel and/or MS Access to support data collection, management and reporting requirements. Working knowledge of SAP.
  • A proven ability with creating reports by relating and extracting and working with data from a variety of software platforms
  • Familiarity with the practical application of project controls
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Related internship, co-op, or work experience, preferably within the power industry
  • Experience using various conditional aggregation and lookup functions in MS Excel
  • Experience using MS Access
