Responsibilities

Sargent & Lundy is looking for an Entry Level .Net Software Developer! As a .NET Software Developer, you will help shape the future of engineering applications. Our goal is to create tools that foster productivity, promote quality, and encourage collaboration among our engineers and support staff. Your role will be vital in developing new tools and refining existing ones, helping us to automate processes, and delivering valuable business intelligence.

Sargent & Lundy is a global leader in power and energy consulting, where innovation meets integrity, diversity, and a commitment to quality. Your responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to, the following:

• Work with end-users to identify system needs and requirements.
• Develop new systems/functionality and maintain existing systems.
• Analyze emerging technologies to re-engineer existing processes.
• Participate in all stages of software development from defining requirements to testing and documentation.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in the office, and 2 days remote from home.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• A BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in software development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, C , VB.Net, ASP.Net, Windows Forms).
• Experience with database development (Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, PL/SQL).
• Knowledge of source control (DevOps, GIT, Pipelines), REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and Entity Framework.
• Strong problem-solving, collaaboration, and verbal/written communication skills.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

• Web development skills (React/Angular, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS, Responsive design).
• Experience with cloud platforms/solutions (Azure/Oracle Cloud Services).
• Microsoft Office Automation and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Understanding of security fundamentals (OAuth, OpenID).
• Agile Development Practices.
• CAD Experience (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Blender, 3D, Lisp).
• AR/VR development and AI fundamentals.
