Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding oral hygiene and care - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in electronic health record systems - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and handling paperwork - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is a plus - Proficiency in infection control systems and protocols - Basic understanding of medical coding for dental procedures - Ability to take vital signs accurately - Experience with digital radiography and taking dental x-rays - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you are a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a dental setting, we encourage you to apply for this position.
