PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP Customer Experience line of business drives solutions that help businesses move beyond traditional customer relationship management and focus on engaging their customers anytime, anywhere, and on any device. Within this line of business, SAP Marketing Cloud enables marketers to develop a deeper understanding of their customers and their behavior. For example, insights into what they have browsed on a Web shop, and what they may purchase. SAP’s mission is to deliver a marketing suite that enables our customers to gain real-time insights into the context of each customer and leverage these insights to deliver highly individualized recommendations and personalized campaigns across all channels.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The job requires:
Lead the team to build with the best architecture, scalability, and security in mind
Designing and developing software based on product manager specifications while seeking to understand and deliver on customer value
Work to multiply every team member’s ability and help to unblock challenges
Analyzing and responding to customer incidents
Being an active contributor in an Agile development team and across the SAP Marketing Cloud development teams
Maintain awareness and expertise in relevant technology
Ensure that the security and regulatory compliance activities are planned for, reviewed, and met
Contributing to team spirit, health and mentoring of fellow engineers
By completing these tasks, you will play a crucial role to build the SAP Marketing Cloud Solution of the future.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
Knowledge on Data Structures and Microservice architecture is required
Knowledge of SAP Marketing Cloud Solution is an asset
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (both verbal and written)
Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions
Extensive experience with technical leadership, defining visions/solutions, and collaborating/driving to see them to completion
Implementation experience of cloud technologies
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile software development
10 years of relevant engineering experience
10 years in engineering leadership roles
