The Global Platform & Technology Ecosystem unit’s vision is to engage and grow the Business Technology Platform Partner Ecosystem to help accelerate the journey to the Intelligent Enterprise, by turning data into a foundational and strategic business asset and allowing our customers to innovate at scale​.

The team’s mission is to grow and win SAP Business Technology Platform market share by leveraging the Ecosystem:

  • Drive “Partner Strategy-to-Sales with BTP” execution and focus on partner ecosystem contribution to the overall P&T revenue targets
  • Accelerate direct and indirect BTP Cloud ACV growth, as well as BTP adoption and consumption along the LACE framework
  • Launch Global P&T Ecosystem Programs and Partner GTM focus initiatives with regional/local sales execution

Key objectives are to accelerate sales, adoption and consumption of SAP‘s business technology platform portfolio through the ecosystem.

The (Senior) Digital Demand Generation Executive will be responsible to build and manage a pipeline of BTP license opportunities and to deliver incremental Cloud ACV Growth in the mid-market segment through a portfolio of select SAP BTP Focus Channel, Service and Innovation Partners.

The (Senior) Digital Demand Generation Executive will thereby serve as a trusted advisor to those BTP Focus Partners along the customer engagement cycle.

He will work in close alignment with the SAP P&T Digital Deal Desk, regional Ecosystem & Channel Team as well as with the Mid-Market organization and in accordance with the regional P&T Sales Operations processes.
The (Senior) Digital Demand Generation Executive will leverage best in class digital sales technologies, social tools, and offerings to succeed in winning business and creating lasting relationships with customers and partners.

Expectations and Tasks

The (Senior) Digital Demand Generation Executive is part of the Global P&T Ecosystem Business Unit.

  • Ensure indirect SAP BTP channel growth in assigned territory. Responsible for territory strategy, coverage, planning, forecasting & BTP ACV goals.
  • Drive demand generation and deal support to SAP Business Technology Partners for channel sales execution
  • Support BTP Partner Sales Play execution in defined territory
  • Demand generation planning to ensure coverage and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including; P&T COE, Partner Business Manager, Mid-Market Sales Executives and others
  • Generate and qualify leads through proper means (cold calling, phone campaigns, email actions, etc.) and progress throughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Regularly review lead pipeline and progression. Proactively give qualitative and quantitative feedback to Sales/Ecosystem Leadership on deal progression
  • Align with SAP Partners, engaging in territory planning, opportunity development, and offering pricing & solution support.
  • Act as partners’ single point of contact during sales cycle by pulling in other SAP resources, including pre-sales and deal desk teams, as needed.
  • Communicating sales plan regularly with key stakeholders.
  • Generate and qualify leads through proper means (cold calling, phone campaigns, email actions, etc.) as agreed with management
  • Regularly review lead pipeline and progression. Proactively give qualitative and quantitative feedback to Sales Leadership on deal progression
  • Update and maintain reporting tools such as CRM to ensure accurate pipeline management.
  • Drive partners to register new BTP demand
  • Assist Partner resources with follow-up activities to progress sales cycles to contract closure
  • Work based on agreed KPIs in the signed off

Work Experience 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Partner Management, Field Sales, Inside Sales or Demand Management
  • Experience with different partner types ie GSSP/SI’s, VARs and Innovation Partners
  • Preferably telemarketing, demand generation and digital sales experience
  • Self-starter and numbers driven with strong drive for success
  • High volume activity working environments, involving phone and a CRM / contact management system 

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor and/or equivalent business experience
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • A high-energy team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Strong customer service commitment and attitude
  • Results oriented with a passion to learn and a desire to run their business.
  • Self-starters & Constant Learners only.
  • Excellent verbal & written presentation skills
  • Proven ability of managing or working as part of virtual team an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP’s Business Technology Platform and key use case preferred
  • Strong desire to succeed
