SAP Concur has just opened a rare job opportunity for a Sr. Director of Partner Strategy & Operations working to transform our Cloud Channel Sales organization. Lead the Partner Strategy and Operations team as we take on the biggest ideas and challenges and turn them into solutions that will transform SAP Concur’s partner program. This high-profile team with C-level exposure, requires an experienced leader with a background in sales operations, management, consulting, program management, financial modeling, compliance and/or framework definition. Position Requirements
Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5-8 individual contributors, roles include Program Managers, Operations Specialists and Project Managers. This includes managing individuals to ongoing goals and tasks that are crucial to supporting partner revenue as well as maximizing the utilization of these resources across a variety of different channels and partner types.
  • Contribute to the Cloud Channel Sales Leadership Team as point leader on efforts to transform the business by ensuring cross team alignment across Strategy, Operations, Distribution, Product Management, Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Client Services, IT, Legal, and Facilities.
  • Understand and provide strategic and tactical recommendations on aligning SAP Concur’s Global Partner Program to SAP’s PartnerEdge program, especially in focus areas of Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) compliance, partner models and partner channel definition and function.
  • Lead a wide range of projects in alignment with Cloud Channel Sales vision, culture and transformation plan.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of standards for partner program operations including standard operating procedures, SAP Concur’s CRM/PRM and SAP systems.
  • Define and successfully manage all project planning activities, including, but not limited to: scope and priority setting, building business requirements, identifying interdependencies, risk mitigation, issue tracking, quality management, resourcing, success measurement, KPI monitoring, budgeting, training, and communications.
  • Travel up to 30% possible, including international.
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Qualifications 

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of Sales Operations, Business Consulting or Program Management experience with increasing amount of responsibility.
  • Prior team management/leadership experience in similar functions.
  • Good project/program management skills including communication skills are required for resolving complex ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical skills including data manipulation to inform business decisions
  • Agile thought-leader with global insights into programs with increasing business impact.
  • Strong planning, control and business operations experience preferred.
  • Sales or sales operations experience/exposure is strongly desired
  • International experience/exposure is strongly desired
  • PMI, Six Sigma or equivalent certification DESIRED.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Solid process and analytical skills tied with creative thinking and sharp decision-making abilities
  • Strong comprehension skills for understanding needs and concerns while developing and applying solutions.
  • Ability to resolve challenging issues.
  • Excellent, accurate, and effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and principles.
  • Must be team oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Significant personal initiative, high energy with a “can do” attitude and professional drive.
  • Proven agility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Experience with key tools: Microsoft Suite of applications, Smartsheet, Tableau, Salesforce, Big Machines, and SAP applications.
  • Exhibit and lead with strong change management skills.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with and/or communicating information associated with strategic and tactical activities.
  • Sensitivity across cultures and languages is critical.
