The newly created team and competency with the Product and Engineering group at SAP is tasked with defining, validating industry process transformation. With our market leading portfolio of applications, and cloud platform, we at SAP have the unique opportunity to create newly imagined category defining end to end process use cases borne out of intelligent combinations of our solutions, to deliver differentiated and transformation value for our customers. Our role is to identify these use cases, validate the market opportunity and orchestrate the delivery of these use cases, by industry. As a result, we fortify SAP’s position and heritage as the market maker of modern business process.

How you will Contribute

• Mastery of end-to-end processes – either functional or by industry (IM&C, Retail, Automotive, CPG)
• Contributes to business case, develops and drives a product vision and a product roadmap. Constantly evaluate competitive products on basis of publicly available information to ensure their product is on-par or competitive in the current market.
• Own and prioritizes product feedback and framing of market perspective which reflects customer and user needs in order to achieve competitive advantage and increases the value for the customer.
• Provide holistic overview on overall product strategy narrative and ensures product team and related Scrum teams have a comprehensive understanding of the market perspective on product strategies.
• Collect and incorporate early feedback from customers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure product delivery and support the delivery assurance of a product in alignment with market expectations to implement the cross-portfolio strategy.
• Lives innovative thinking by contributing to related communities identifies opportunities and drives innovation in respective topics and domains of the functional role.
• Actively follows and shares developments and trends regarding new SAP and complimentary partner service and solution offerings, industry trends and other topic areas relevant for the respective domain.

A Successful Candidate Should

• Engagement Management experience with either product strategy and or management consulting experience is essential to succeed
• 10 years of related industry experience
• Proven ability to present to senior executives as well as internal and external customers
• Capable of taking abstract data, technology trends, solutions, and present them to a business audience
• Able to provide specific examples that show how you can collaborate and drive results in an influencer in your role
• Ability to report progress and spot key risks and dependences that will impact project success
• Functional process experience in one or more of these industries CRM, HCM, SCM, ERP, Travel, etc.
• Industry competency in IM&C, Retail, Automotive or Consumer Products/CPG
• Open to remote candidates in the US but preferred location is Palo Alto, CA
