Santa Fe South Public Schools is Hiring a High School Science Teacher Near Oklahoma, OK

About Us: Join our dynamic team at Santa Fe South High School, where innovation meets tradition in providing exceptional education to secondary students. Our school is committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem solving, and a passion for learning.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic secondary science teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science, a passion for teaching, and the ability to inspire students to excel academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous science lessons for secondary students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with a content team partner to develop and refine curriculum materials, assessments, and resources aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards.
  • Work closely with a content team partner to analyze student data and make data-informed instructional decisions.
  • Participate in regular meetings with a content team partner and instructional coach to review pacing guides, lesson internalization documents, and instructional strategies and practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in science education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Education, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification/license in secondary science (Preferred, not required).
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching secondary science, including physical science, biology, chemistry, and/or environmental science (Preferred, not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
