Daytime Vet & Kennel Assistant
Santa Fe Pet Clinic is looking for a very special individual to be our next
Vet/Kennel Assistant. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, highly motivated team player. Additionally, this is a perfect job for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the veterinary field as we will allow you to grow your skills while fulfilling a passion for helping animals. The work schedule will be 7:45 AM To about 11:45 AM. Weekends, holidays and at least two shifts during the week.

Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work with others in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner.
- You should be punctual and a self starter.
- Will be required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Frequently lift animals off all weights & sizes.
- Olathe, KS 66062: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
- If you see yourself being able to work at Chick-fil-A, then that's the kind of employee we want to hire. The bonus is, you get to work with animals more than people.
- This position requires morning shifts during the week as well as weekends and holidays.
Additionaly:
- The overall care of the pet.
- Feeding, record keeping.
- Daily walking of all pets in the boarding facility as well as the daycare pets.
- Laundry.
- May occasionally assist the medical services staff with inpatient care.
- Ability to clean and maintain kennels, cages, and runs.
- Perform general cleaning in boarding areas to control the spread of disease.
- Wash and sterilize water and food bowls.
- Work occurs at inside and outside venues, so ability to layer up or down and deal with the seasonal weather is imperative.
- Exposure can be reduced during extreme weather.
- Walk and handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs of.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reliable attendance and timeliness are essential.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Ability to work with others in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner.
- Will be required to walk or stand for long periods; will use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; will reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to handle, manage and restrain animals using appropriate procedures (training provided).
- Frequently lift dogs weighing 50 lbs. Walk and handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs.
- Job Types: 10 to 30 hours per week possible. Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour.
