Santa Fe Pet Clinic is Hiring a Vet Asst/Kennel Tech (Day Shift) Near Olathe, KS

Vet Assistant/Kennel Tech Must have prior Vet Assistant Experience - at least one year

Santa Fe Pet Clinic has an opening for an experienced and highly motivated part-time vet assistant/kennel tech.

You’ll be walking, feeding, medicating, and cleaning up after dogs and cats in our care and doing general facility cleaning as well.
We’ll be honest: this isn’t a glamorous job, but it is a rewarding one where you can make a difference and start a career—there are lots of opportunities for learning, training, and advancement.
The pay scale is $12 to 15$ an hour and is totally based on experience. The practice Manager will assess your experience level at the interview.
Regular shifts are 7:45 to 11:00 am and 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. You will be required to work weekends and most holidays. We do pay time and a half for Holiday shifts.
Vet assistant shifts will vary weekly, but you will work most Fridays from 7:30 to 5:30 as vet asst as well as kennel tech. So you must be available all day most Fridays.

This is the perfect job for college students interested in possibly pursuing a career in the veterinary field as we will give you an opportunity to grow your skills. That said, we’re not just looking for summertime help—this is a permanent position. You should be confident in handling animals, responsible, reliable, and able to lift 40 lbs.
