Santa Fe Christian Schools is seeking a qualified, experienced Academic Counselor to join our College Counseling team for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Establish strong relationships with students and parents for the purpose of Academic Counseling and guidance regarding academic pursuits
• Guide students and their parents/guardians through all aspects of the college search and college and financial aid application processes
• Develop a 4-year plan for each assigned individual, including potential courses to be taken, summer internships, or program opportunities
• Design programs and workshops for students and families
• Assist/train faculty members in writing letters of recommendation for students

• Model a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
• Demonstrate biblical maturity and serve as a Christian role model
• Maintains active participation in an evangelical church

Professional Requirements:

• Advanced degree of MA or higher (educational administration or counseling preferred)
• A minimum of five years of experience in college counseling, college admissions, or Upper School administration is required
• A proven track record of high level of accountability, the ability to simultaneously manage numerous detailed tasks, anticipate and meet deadlines, use time effectively, and problem-solve independently
• Interest in contributing to the school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred
