POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Services and Academic Support, this position will oversee engagement activities for all students in the School of Education and Counseling Psychology. This position provides excellent customer service to students, faculty and staff and assists with the organization of co-curricular and professional development programs for all enrolled students. In addition, this position will assist with the communication of information to current and prospective students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Engagement
Ambassador Program
Partnering with the Admissions team, create an Ambassador program to assist with recruitment opportunities and represent the School at events (Reunions, Board meetings, Speaker series) throughout the year
Student Groups
Serve as main advisor for all student organizations in the School.
Work with student leaders to create new organizations to meet the needs of the ECP community.
Provide leadership and guidance to student leaders which includes training on SCU and ECP policies and procedures
SEMILLA Teacher Fellowship Program
Collaborate with the Faculty Director on selection of Fellows
Assist with determining content for the quarterly/monthly meetings for Fellows.
Work with the Senior Director on the scholarship disbursement process.
Collaborate with the Education Department on data collection for each Fellow.
New Student Orientation
Organize In-person New Student Orientation programs for all intakes and all programs and collaborate with Student Services team to provide content
Coordinate with faculty directors for special programs to create an integrated Orientation program
Coordinate Semi Annual Resource Fair to provide students with information on campus resources
Graduation Reception and Events
Working with the Dean's Office and the academic departments, plan the annual graduation activities.
Coordinate with the departments to meet budget demands and restrictions.
Collaborate with the Dean's Office, Commencement Office and Student Services Office on all event logistics from invitation to reception and graduation.
Assist as needed with other graduation and alumni events
Customer Service
Provide assistance to students as appropriate -- challenges with enrollment, helping them understand registration holds and how to remove them, submitting program change forms, etc.
Direct inquiries to appropriate departments and offices when issues are more complex or require higher level assistance
Manage and refer student inquiries
Answer telephone, greet and direct visitors, make referrals as appropriate
Student Communications
Communicate relevant information to students in a timely manner via email, posts and other methods.
Communicate applicable deadlines and due dates to internal and external audiences.
Ensure information from the student services office is accurate and topical.
Work with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communication to ensure accurate information on our programs and policies are disseminated through various media channels and all are brand consistent.
Oversee the dissemination of the weekly email blast/newsletter.
General Administrative
Maintain calendar for all events
Provide event support including but not limited to reserving the rooms, ordering food and attending the event.
Manage and supervise special projects as assigned
Other projects and duties to meet school initiatives
PROVIDES WORK DIRECTION

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google suite in addition to personnel and financial systems (PeopleSoft Student, People Admin, Workday).
Skills
Ability to use Windows and Apple platforms required
Ability to use Office Suite applications
Abilities
Understand and support the values and ideals of Jesuit education.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially when dealing with sensitive issues and situations.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
Demonstrated ability to balance and respond to a complex and wide variety of demands.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the school and across campus.

Education
Bachelor's degree required..
Years of Experience
3-5 years of work in a student services-related field.
Experience in higher education environment and academic administration preferred.
