Manufacturing Engineer
5A (Monday-Friday)
Job Purpose:
Develops, implements, monitors and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in the manufacture of printed circuitboards and functioning box build assemblies. Works closely with process and quality engineering as well as with the production team to ensure the processes are consistent and repeatable to meet yield and efficiency requirements. Works closely with customer engineering to ensure all customer requirements are met. Designs, modifies,validates, and managesprocessactivities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through prototype and qualification builds to production release.Develop line layouts to ensure customer demands are met and each workstation does not delay the next one.Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality and efficiency. Trains staff for new and existing processes.
Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Engineer serves as a central resource of the product from start to finish. This includes ensuring all documentation, stencils,line layouts, line setup, manufacturing process instructions, PFMEA, tooling, fixtures and equipment is completedprior to product release. Engineers will work closely with production, quality, and product development groups; as the product(s) move to completion and distribution.Engineers will write and execute Product Validations for both PCB and Box Build processes.
Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
*Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer; preferably in Electronics Manufacturing or equivalent.
*Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite, CAD/ CAM tools. Solid Works a plus
*Solid written/verbal business communication skills
*Problem solving ability
*Ability to occasionally work late shifts
*Must be a team player and hands on.
*This position requires you to be onsite 100%
*US Citizenship required
