Job Cost Estimator

Job Purpose

To gather and prepare requested data for the Quote Analysts to use in their estimates.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

• Receives initial estimate requests
• Downloads and retrieves customer data
• Reads specs (e.g. drawings) and requirements
• Collects all product information for Bill of Materials
• Enters these data into Excel spreadsheets
• May work in an RFQ (Request for Quote) System

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Up to 1 year related experience
• Must be proficient in Excel
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Able to read and understand assembly drawings
• Able to understand a customer BOM
• Able to work within deadlines and with minimal supervision
