Job Purpose:

Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) develop, implement, and validate CMM inspection programs and work holding. These individuals are responsible for ensuring all parameters required for the project are captured to support internal and external reporting requirements. Will support, back-up and mentor other CMM team members as necessary.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Program CMM to perform automated inspections
• Set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to verify dimensions per blueprints and specifications
• Inspect machined parts, components, assemblies and materials to comply with guidelines. Document
• inspection results and provide written reports.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of CMM
• Read/interpret specifications/drawings
• Utilize different inspection equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.

Education and Experience:

• AS Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical
• Manufacturing Experience/Background is required (quality inspection preferred)
• 5 years experience with CMMs required
• Experience with Micro-Vu CMM is required (Inspec software knowledge)
• Experience with PC-DMIS programming is preferred
• Experienced in Quality Inspection utilizing visual and dimensional methods.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO13485 is a plus
