Job Summary:

As a Barista at Pleasanton Boba Nation, you will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality beverages to our customers. Your friendly and efficient service will contribute to creating a positive and inviting atmosphere for guests. The role involves preparing beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Serve Beverages:
• Craft and serve a variety of beverages/soft drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistent quality by following proper measurements and drink making techniques.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations based on preferences.
• Address customer concerns or inquiries with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Cash Handling:
• Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment with integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain Cleanliness:
• Keep the barista station, equipment, and juice making area clean and organized.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic work environment.
• Stocking and Inventory:
• Monitor and restock powders, syrups, milk, and other supplies as needed.
• Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Team:
• Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with other staff and management to coordinate orders and provide excellent customer service.
• Menu Knowledge:
• Stay informed about current menu offerings, promotions, and any changes to recipes.
• Educate customers about different soft drinks we serve and preparation methods if needed.
• Adherence to Policies:
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and service standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Knowledge of soft drinks/beverage preparation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions.
• Have Food Handlers Permit or obtain one within 30 days of employment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (creamer bags, milk containers, etc.).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
