Job Summary

The Regional Operations Manager for Sanitas will perform overall management duties for the design, implementation and functionality of the Medical Centers and Primary Care Office’s operations in accordance with strict deadlines and within budget.

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the business operations and activities of the medical centers and other primary care practices sites under the supervision while optimizing the day-to-day operational excellence for the Medical centers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Patient Satisfaction: Promote a patient-centered approach throughout the organization, emphasizing empathy, respect, and personalized care.
  • Monitor Patient Feedback: Regularly collect and analyze patient feedback through surveys, online reviews, and other channels. Identify areas for improvement and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Enhance Communication: Improve communication channels between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. Ensure clear and effective communication to manage patient expectations and provide timely updates on their care.
  • Staff Training: Provide comprehensive training to healthcare providers and staff on delivering excellent customer service, effective communication, and patient engagement techniques.
  • Empowerment and Engagement: Foster a culture of empowerment and engagement among healthcare providers and staff. Encourage them to actively listen to patients, involve them in their care decisions, and address their concerns proactively.
  • Service Recovery: Establish processes for handling patient complaints or dissatisfaction effectively. Implement service recovery protocols to address issues promptly, resolve concerns, and regain patient trust.
  • Operational Efficiency: Overseeing the operations of multiple Sanitas Medical Centers within the specific region, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow and adherence to operational standards.
  • Performance Management: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the Sanitas Medical Centers, analyzing key metrics and performance indicators, and implementing strategies to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Managing and allocating resources such as staff, equipment, and supplies across multiple facilities, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in healthcare operations.
  • Conducting audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Financial Management: Monitoring and managing the financial performance of Sanitas Medical Centers in the region, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, staff, patients, payers, and external partners, among others.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to address operational challenges and improve service delivery.
  • Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the region, aligning operational goals with organizational objectives, and driving initiatives to support growth and expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Providing leadership, guidance, and support to facility managers and staff within the region.
  • Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering professional development, and ensuring effective communication across the regional and state team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction. Implementing quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing emergency response plans and protocols for Sanitas Medical Centers in the region, ensuring preparedness for potential crises or disasters.
  • Committes: Leading and participating in committee meetings to optimize region performance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (CPT and ICD-10)
  • Available to commute between the different locations
  • Available to workovertime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or relevant experience commensurate to degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a physician practice environment
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a management role
  • Ability to develop, motivate and lead teams of cross-functional resources
  • MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish
