Sanford Federal, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work performed during the Incremental Selected Restricted Availability (ISRA) onboard USS DELBERT D BLACK (DDG 119) meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with contractual requirements. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of the project and ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the vessel.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of work performed onboard USS DELBERT D BLACK (DDG 119) to verify compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards.
• Review and approve quality control plans, procedures, and documentation submitted by subcontractors and personnel involved in the ISRA project.
• Identify non-conformances, deficiencies, and areas for improvement during inspections and audits, and work collaboratively with project stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, compliance assessments, and other quality-related documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide timely and accurate reports to project management and the contracting officer regarding the status of quality assurance activities, including identified deficiencies and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in meetings, briefings, and reviews as required to communicate quality-related information, address concerns, and support decision-making processes.
• Stay abreast of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality assurance in defense contracting and naval ship maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Certification as a Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar professional certification is preferred.
• Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field, preferably in defense contracting or naval ship maintenance.
