Job Title: OA/CTS Director (Office of Admissions/Career Transition Services Director)

LOCATION: Hays County, San Marcos, Texas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Counseling, Business Administration).

· Extensive experience in admissions, recruitment, career services, or related fields, preferably with a minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership or managerial roles.

· Strong knowledge of admissions processes, career development theories, and job market trends.

· Familiarity with vocational training programs and workforce development initiatives.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, employers, and community partners.

· Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and inspire a team, and to oversee the implementation of effective recruitment and career transition programs and services.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Experience in data analysis and reporting to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement efforts.

· Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to admissions and career transition services in Job Corps.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Recruitment and Admissions:

· Developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment strategies and campaigns to attract eligible students to the Job Corps program.

· Collaborating with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to identify and engage potential applicants.

· Coordinating information sessions, orientations, and campus tours to provide prospective students with an understanding of the program and its benefits.

· Overseeing the admissions process, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and Job Corps guidelines.

· Developing and maintaining relationships with referring agencies and organizations to facilitate the referral and enrollment of students.

2. Student Enrollment and Orientation:

· Overseeing the enrollment process, including the review and verification of student eligibility, documentation, and records.

· Coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for enrolled students, providing them with the necessary information, resources, and support.

· Conducting student orientations to familiarize new students with center policies, procedures, and expectations.

· Providing guidance and support to students during the enrollment and orientation process, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs.

3. Career Transition Services:

· Developing and implementing effective career transition programs and services to support students' successful entry into the workforce or further education.

· Collaborating with vocational training instructors, counselors, and community partners to enhance students' job readiness and employability skills.

· Coordinating job placement services, including job fairs, employer networking events, and job search resources.

· Providing individualized career counseling and guidance to students, assisting them in identifying career goals, developing career action plans, and preparing for job interviews.

· Tracking and reporting on career transition outcomes, such as job placement rates, employment retention, and further education enrollment.

4. Program Management and Evaluation:

· Developing and managing the OA/CTS budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource allocation.

· Supervising and providing guidance to OA/CTS staff, promoting professional growth and development.

· Collecting and analyzing data on OA/CTS program outcomes, such as recruitment rates, enrollment numbers, and career transition success.

· Generating reports and presenting findings to center leadership, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance program effectiveness.

· Staying informed about best practices and research in admissions and career transition services, incorporating evidence-based approaches into program design and delivery.
