Job Description:

Sanford Federal, Inc., a leading government contracting company, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to provide exceptional cleaning services at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System. As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our facility.

Responsibilities:

•Perform general cleaning duties, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in assigned areas.

•Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.

•Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.

•Restock supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, as needed.

•Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, including hallways, waiting areas, and lounges.

•Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines.

•Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.

•Adhere to established schedules and complete assigned tasks within the allotted time frame.

•Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.

•Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.

•Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications:

•Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial work is preferred.

•Must have a clean criminal record. A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

•Knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.

•Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

•Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

•Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

•Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy objects as necessary.

•Basic understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols.

•Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

•Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance

•Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to comply with legal employment regulations.
