Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, assessing patients' conditions, and providing medical care in critical situations.

• Verify patient manifest and complete paperwork, like trip tickets and records, and record fuel amount and type.
• Provide preventative maintenance checks and services for the patient transport vehicle.
• Follow safety procedures, utilize safety equipment, and monitor work environment to ensure the safety of patients and employees.
• Act according to established protocols if there is an unusual or life-threatening situation and prevent deterioration of patient condition.
• Interact with patients in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Coordinate transportation activities with Veterans Transportation Staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Valid California Department of Transportation Class "C" Commercial Driver
• License (CDL)
• Possess a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Adhere to State, local, and traffic laws and ordinances.
• Licensed to operate passenger ambulance bus
• Familiar with National Department of Transportation and multi-state
• Guidelines/policies governing motor vehicle operators and be well versed in every aspect of
• Previous experience working in a hospital or emergency room setting is preferred
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on compassion and professionalism
• Patient safety during transport
• Ability to communicate in English
