Your Impact
As a Nurse at Sandstone Care, your role is vital, and your contributions directly affect the well-being of our clients:
- Nursing Duties and Medical Expertise: You will carry out essential nursing tasks and serve as a trusted medical resource, providing critical support to clients throughout their treatment journey.
- Client Supervision and Behavioral Management: Your role includes supervising and implementing behavioral management strategies, such as de-escalation, crisis support, and redirection, to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaboration for Treatment: You will work closely with our medical and clinical teams to establish a secure and stable treatment environment for our clients, fostering an atmosphere of trust and healing.
- Positive Impact: Most importantly, your dedication and care will make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of adolescents navigating the challenges of substance abuse and mental health issues. Your role plays a crucial part in their journey towards recovery and a brighter future.
Who You Are
- Active RN or LPN License: You should hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license that allows you to practice in the state of Colorado.
- Experience in Substance Abuse and/or Co-Occurring Disorders: Previous experience in treating substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders is essential to excel in this role.
- Preferred: Training in Verbal De-Escalation and/or Mental Health: While not mandatory, having training in verbal de-escalation and mental health is strongly preferred, as it enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care.
- Valid Driver's License with No Restrictions: A valid driver's license with no restrictions is required. You must also be willing and able to transport clients using a 15-passenger van as needed.
- Ideal Candidates Have a Minimum of 2 Years of Experience: While not a strict requirement, ideal candidates typically have a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Additional Requirement for LPN Nurses: LPN Nurses should also have IV Certification in addition to their LPN license.
