Job Description:
Sands of Persia, a high-end restaurant located in Long Island City, is seeking a professional and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience that aligns with our establishment's standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
2. Manage guest reservations and seating arrangements promptly and efficiently.
3. Provide accurate information about our menu offerings, including food, beverage, and hookah options.
4. Assist in taking drink and food orders, serving alcoholic beverages responsibly, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
5. Coordinate with the service staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
6. Maintain a clean and organized host station, including menus, reservation books, and promotional materials.
7. Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
8. Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and promptly.
9. Collaborate with the management team to implement and uphold high standards of service and hospitality.
10. Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper handling and serving of food, alcohol, and hookah products.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment.
2. Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including wine, cocktails, and spirits, and the ability to make recommendations based on guest preferences.
3.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
4. Exceptional customer service skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
5.Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
