Sanders Candy is Hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator Near Clinton, MI
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinatorat Sanders Candy in Clinton Township, MI. Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, this role will be on-site daily and responsible for the accounts payable function for all departments on the treats side of our business.
This role will be responsible for both purchase order and non-purchase order invoice processing and other accounting ad-hoc projects. This position manages high volume full-cycle accounts payable workflow.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts payable using AP automation software in conjunction with ERP.
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and multiple vendors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Ensure invoices are paid timely and in an accurate manner.
- Expert level knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
- Code monthly operating and other related expenses.
- Research and resolve expense and payment variances/discrepancies.
- Assist the external auditors when requested; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience:
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Sage and Plex
- Familiarity with AP automation such as Mineral Tree.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
- 1-3 years of accounts payable experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to complete high volume of work within deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
