Sanctuary Tattoo & Piercing in beautiful Portland, Oregon is looking to add a part-time Front Counter/Jewelry Specialist to our team.
A little about us:
Our shop is woman-owned and we have a welcoming, chill environment that caters to a diverse community. Our team really enjoys working together and we place a high value on compassion, integrity and a sense of humor.
Our business is mid-volume and we take both appointments and walk-ins.
We have APP (Association of Professional Piercers) members on staff and we stock a large selection of high quality jewelry from Neometal, Mushroom Body Jewelry, Anatometal, LeRoi Fine Jewelry, Maya Jewelry, Junipurr, Zadamer, Quetzalli Jewelry and more.
Accessibility note: The shop is on the second floor and only accessible by stairs.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing excellent customer service to our clientele
- Using the Square POS system and appointment system
- Taking photos and video of piercings and jewelry
- Selling jewelry and designing curations
- Light administrative tasks
- Daily shop cleaning and organizing
What we offer:
$19 per hour plus monthly sales bonuses. Paid vacation & health insurance after 3 months, 401K after one year of employment.
Schedule: Saturday/Sunday/Monday (additional days could be added in the near future)
Who we’re looking for:
Someone is passionate about body piercing and has experience in a fast-paced sales/customer service or hospitality role. Must have the ability to stay on task in a sometimes hectic environment. We’re ideally looking for someone who has sales experience, not just cashier experience and experience scheduling clients. Must be able to stay positive under stress, be reliable and be a good communicator. Fluency in a second language is a huge plus.
