Sanctuary Night is Hiring a Clinician, LSW/LPC Near Columbus, OH

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Clinician is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of clinical services provided to Sanctuary Night clients, encompassing mental health, substance use, medical care, housing, transportation, employment, and daily living activities, to fulfill client objectives and uphold service quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Assist individuals in attaining personal independence, nurturing life skills, and offer support in the journey of locating or reestablishing connections with friends, family, and external communities.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts and coordination with external referral organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and the seamless continuity of care.
  • Coordination and completion of client diagnostic assessments.
  • Coordination, completion, and ongoing monitoring of individualized treatment plans to ensure effective service delivery and consistent progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records as outlined by the Sanctuary Night Clinical Documentation Policy.
  • Effectively manage crises and facilitate behavior stabilization as necessary to maintain both physical and emotional safety within the drop-in center.
  • Participate in regular clinical group supervision and treatment team meetings.
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner and actively participates in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain current licensure to prevent any lapse in licensing status.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and maintain appropriate professional boundaries as laid out by agency policy and licensure standards.
  • Prioritize the confidentiality of all client information by strictly adhering to the agency's privacy practices and protocols, and participate in quality assurance activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws including client privacy (HIPAA) and Ohio regulations on mental health and addiction treatment in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Willingness to learn about and endorse a harm reduction approach with Sanctuary Night clients.
  • Commit to continuous learning and remain receptive to receiving feedback and suggestions.
  • Participate in regular supervision with Clinical Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with Sanctuary Night direct service team to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of clinical programming within day-to-day operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of client care services in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director.
  • May assist with speaking engagements and trainings at civic, professional, and academic organizations.
  • Represent the organization’s programs and point of view to external agencies, organizations, and the general public, and attend community meetings and events.
  • Willingness to prepare meals, perform cleaning, organization, and other related tasks as assigned.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have a combination of education, experience, and personal characteristics that demonstrate the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of the position.

Minimum requirements are:

  • Licensed by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist (CSWMFT) Board as LSW or LPC.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, required comprehensive auto insurance and good driving record.
  • Proficient knowledge of common office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively engage with, and de-escalate, potentially difficult situations and people.
  • Must be willing to use Google Voice to maintain regular contact with team members and clients.
  • Must be proficient or willing to acquire proficiency in utilizing Google Docs, email, and other software programs and tools.
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Must either hold a Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling, or be actively pursuing one with the aim of achieving independent licensure.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder.
  • Familiarity with relevant community resources and support services.
  • Experience in case management in a clinical setting.
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Working conditions:

  • The primary location for the Clinician will be the Sullivant Avenue drop-in center.
  • This role involves frequent mobility and the need to move around regularly.
  • This position may entail exposure to regular loud noises and a fast-paced work environment.

Pay: $21.63 - $28.85 per hour
