Sanco Thermo King is Hiring a Diesel Service Technician Near Springfield, IL
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair of refrigeration units and auxiliary power units
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all components
- Positively interface with Service Writers, leadership team, the parts department, drivers, vendors, and customers
- Keep paperwork updated and submitted upon completion
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Meet and maintain labor efficiency goals
- Meet requirements for certifications
- Remain drug and alcohol free while on Company premises and within the scope of duty
- Understand and comply with all Sanco Enterprises policies and procedures
- Observe safety and security policies and procedures and use equipment and materials accordingly
- Duties may be added, deleted, or modified at any time, at the discretion of management, via written, verbal, formal, or informal means
- Problem Solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, and maintains necessary communication
- Interpersonal Skills – maintains open communication with fellow employees, supervision, and management, remains open to others’ ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things

- Diesel engine experience
- Technical degree or certification is a plus
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Use computers for web-based training and work order system
- Work independently in a field service environment while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customer
- Exhibit a strong mechanical aptitude
- Possess a clean driving record
- Pass a DOT approved physical
- Exposure to varying weather-related temperatures (both inside and outside)
- Frequently works on scaffolding
- Moderate exposure to confined spaces, moving objects, and mechanical parts
- Moderate exposure to chemicals and fumes
- Moderate noise level
