San Marcos Academy is currently seeking applicants for a Cheer Coach to work with young people in a Christian Upper School. This is an excellent position for those seeking to work in a Christian environment that will allow for professional and spiritual growth. This is a part time, stipend position and will include evening and some weekend hours. 

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

Set a role model for students in appearance, dependability, and behavior while on and off campus at scheduled events

Develop behavior expectations for the squad that provides rewards and discipline consequences and holds students accountable for behavior according to the Student Handbook

Develop a schedule to include practice times for the squad in cooperation with other in-season sports and scheduled pep rallies

Transport squad to events and games

Develop, coordinate, and communicate the objectives, philosophy, training, and focus of the program to achieve desired outcomes

Ensure that all facilities are secure before leaving after meetings/practices/games

Job Qualifications

Ability to travel with the squad

Hold a valid driver's license--CDL - preferred

Cheerleading or cheer coaching experience

Knowledge of the rules of the various sports

Willing to obtain A.A.C.C.A. American Association of Cheerleading, Coaches, and Administrators membership
