We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. This position is important for communicating care for our people. If you are friendly and welcoming, good on the phone, empathetic, and organized enough to orchestrate a caring patient interaction, you may be the best fit for this job.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Input patient information into EHR and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Assist in maintaining patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents into EHR
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- We will train you to use GMed which is our electronic medical record (EHR) to manage patient information
- Prioritize customer service, addressing patient's needs and concerns
Skills:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office or medical practice is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some experience with electronic medical records is preferred
- Must be able to type well
- Some knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with front desk systems and procedures
