Continuing along its highly successful growth trajectory, SFFedCU is seeking a Payroll Specialist.

The Role

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.

  • Enter new hires, terminations, and changes into the payroll system.

  • Update and fund contributions for 401(k) Plan, health benefits, (i.e., FSA, HSA, and commuter plans) and manage associated accounting schedules and reconciliations.

  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including merit increases, incentives and benefit plan deductions to include 40l(k) Plan deferral and health benefits.

  • Reconcile payroll data and load to GL to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Generate payroll reports for management review and analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll taxes and reporting.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters

  • Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Who Are You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a financial institution or credit union.

  • Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.

  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices and regulations.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
