The San Francisco Conservatory of Music is searching for our next IT Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT Services Team and support the IT needs of our highly engaged students, faculty and staff. Working under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Information Technology, the incumbent will provide back-office support and front-line responsibilities. The IT Systems Analyst will play a key role in developing and supporting existing data and network systems, which will allow campus and remote operations to function effectively.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The IT Systems Analyst will:

• Communicate and address technical issues with onsite and offsite end users with varying degrees of technical capabilities.
• Work with IT staff members on data and networking projects.
• Track, resolve and close issues and problems in a timely manner using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology. 
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software based on best practice. 
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and compatibility issues. 
• Learn, document, train, and support new applications and systems.
• Research, evaluate and implement solutions independently and in collaboration with the IT Services team.
• Strong time management skills and have the ability to manage multiple requests concurrently.
• Other technology-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR relevant experience
• 3 years experience in a Helpdesk/IT support role
• SQL, PowerShell, Windows CLI, and M365, Active Directory, Azure, Google Workspace Admin knowledge highly desirable
• Experience with onboarding and offboarding users (e.g. account creation, data transfers, hardware provisioning, IT orientations)
• Understanding of networking and connectivity tools
• Experience integrating applications, both cloud-based and on-premises
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting/diagnostic methods
• Ability to understand which issues are critical and should be resolved first
• Exceptional customer service
• Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Skilled at managing and meeting end user expectations
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
• Experience with office productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps
