PROGRAM TECHNICIAN
(Workforce SBCSS)
SALARY:$5,764.00 to $7,024.00 Monthly (Range 81)
$750 New Hire Incentive
(One-time payment, upon completion of six-month
probation, if start date is 6/30/2024 or prior)
LENGTH OF SERVICE: 260 Days per Year/12 Months
(This is a grant-funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon continuation of the grant).

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Program Technician, Workforce SBCSS, will assist in a wide variety of activities in support of designated programs and daily operational functions of the Workforce SBCSS department. This position coordinates and assists in meetings, workshops, and special events, and assists in a variety of financial activities including financial transactions and activities related to fiscal and data management. This position also supports the coordination of purchases including special orders, open purchase orders, and department inventory, and the Student Information and Customer Relationship Management systems of the department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in the coordination of Workforce SBCSS programs;
Provides support and guidance to program participants and work teams including the community and local education agencies (LEAs);
Coordinates facilities, food service, audio/visual equipment, travel and related support services for assigned events;
Prepares reports, presentation information, spreadsheets, newsletters, brochures and other forms of correspondence;
Develops and maintains files, reports, databases and records;
Monitors and maintains grant budget and financial transactions;
Prepares requisitions, budget transfers, and other transactions;
Maintains and tracks department inventory;
Collects and organizes data for websites and special projects;
Assists with distribution and receipt of records and reports and maintains records and document security;
Assists with distribution and receipt of records and reports and maintains records and testing security;
Performs related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience organizing and facilitating workshops, events, or programs; preparing various forms of correspondence including reports and minutes; monitoring budgets;
Skill in the performance of mathematical calculations; operation of computer software applications, including data processing, development of newsletters, certificates, fliers, and other publications; use of standard office equipment;
Knowledge of general office procedures and fiscal processes; English grammar and usage; budgeting, billing and invoicing processes;
Ability to exercise sound judgment, meet established timelines, work accurately and independently, communicate effectively in verbal and written form, work effectively with a variety of individuals and groups, maintain accurate records, travel to various locations;
Physical Abilities include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, reaching, fine manual dexterity, pushing and pulling, talking/hearing, near and far visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year experience coordinating multiple projects and programs from conception through implementation;
Two (2) years experience assisting in the management of correspondence, data, and records;
One (1) year experience performing administrative duties including accounting and financial procedures;
Possession of a high school diploma (or its equivalency) or higher or possession of a GED.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
·Additional years of experience performing budgetary procedures;
One (1) year experience managing databases;
One (1) year experience working with data collection in a school district or county office.
