I'm working with a brand-new plasma donation center in Chicago IL, and we’re looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) tocome join us full-time!
This center is scheduled to open on Aug 8th of this year and there are designated training centers. The training centers will be in Dekalb or Harwood Heights and we can arrange hotel accommodations if needed!
This is a unique nursing role conducting health screenings of potential donors for suitability to give plasma. Your responsibilities will include checking vitals, a brief medical history, and making sure there are no obvious signs of drug use or recent tattoos and then sending them on to the Phlebotomist.
This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to move away from the more traditional bedside nursing role and into a clinic environment with daytime hours and no skilled nursing or direct patient care. A better work/life balance!
Job summary: ensure the donors meet suitability criteria, review normal donor laboratory test, and will refer abnormal results to the Physician for review, and provide medical oversight in screening, phlebotomy, and the plasma processing areas.
Responsibilities include performing new donor, return donor and annual donor physicals, answer questions relating to the donor process, documentation, reviews lab work in a timely manner, provide care for donors, if needed, maintain knowledge of donation programs, along with other duties as assigned.
