Job Title: Middle School Science Teacher

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:35 pm (M-TH), 7:30am-1:45pm (F)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science and/or Education or relevant field (Master's preferred)

Experience: Teaching: 3 years (Preferred)

Language: English (Required)

License/Certification: Teaching Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons for middle school students following the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
• Teach 6 sections in single-gender classrooms (3 boys, 3 girls) with a focus on differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Maintain a dynamic and interactive Google Classroom platform to support in-class learning and provide additional resources for students.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with families to keep them informed about student progress, upcoming assignments, and classroom activities.
• Work closely with the Principal to align curriculum objectives with school-wide goals and initiatives.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to provide students with meaningful and relevant learning experiences.
• Create and facilitate hands-on laboratory and real life experiences that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking in lesson planning and instructional delivery to engage students and foster a love for science.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and a passion for learning.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Act as a natural collaborator, working with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices for enhancing science education.
• Stay informed about current trends and developments in science education and incorporate new methodologies and technologies into teaching practices.
